Emergency Preparedness Coordinator

Marion Public Health Department

Full time position.  Assist in coordination of emergency preparedness activities to ensure our agency and employees are prepared for public health disasters. Collaborate with local/regional planners to develop, assess, integrate and test response plans, procedures, protocols, and guidelines. Evaluate current plans through drills and facilitate necessary exercises and training.  Serve as health district liaison between regional/local response agencies. Collect data and assure program quality and compliance through necessary evaluations and audits. Take responsibility for creating & updating all preparedness plans and reports. Coordinate activities of local Healthcare Coalition.  Serve as coordinator of local public health volunteers through the Medical Reserve Corps.  Ensure grant compliance. 

Bachelor’s degree and 1 – 3 years of emergency management or preparedness work or nursing experience preferred.
