Public Health Nurse 1 or 2

Delaware General Health District

The Delaware General Health District seeks a Public Health Nurse (PHN 1 or PHN 2) to conduct nursing services within a community setting.  Under limited direction the position will perform personal health services to assure compliance with applicable national, state, and local personal health standards.  Job duties will include but not be limited to: adult/child immunizations, health screenings, case management, newborn/prenatal home visiting, provide vaccine education to providers, and assess vaccine coverage levels.

Requirements:

PHN 1: Current RN license required.  Ability to receive Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other health related field (public health, nutrition, pharmacy, etc.,) within 3 years of date of hire required.  Less than one-year relevant experience required.

PHN 2: Current RN license and Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other health related field (public health, nutrition, pharmacy, etc.) required.  One to three years relevant experience required. 

Occasional evening and weekend hours required for both.

Pay and Benefits:

• PHN 1 starting pay is $19.89/hr, may be adjusted commensurate with experience
• PHN 2 starting pay is $22.14/hr, may be adjusted commensurate with experience
