Public Health Intern/Special Projects Assistant

Part-Time Temporary Intern: Up to 20 hours per week, April 2018 – April 2019

Rate: $14.00-$16.00/hour

Job Duties: Assist CCPH staff with multiple projects including syndromic surveillance validation, Community Health Assessment/Community Health Needs Assessment data coordination, and development of a Community Health Improvement Plan. Duties will include data collection, analysis, reporting, and document development. Assist with facilitation of community-based groups. Participate in agency, community and regional meetings as needed for coordination of projects. Reports directly to the Director of Nursing.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must be working on or have a graduate degree in public health or related field, including nursing, environmental health or epidemiology. Must be a self-starter and independent worker. Must have good communication skills and strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Publisher. Must have regular attendance. Staff will assist in working with student on meeting education requirements needed by intern, if applicable.

Work Schedule: Up to 20 hours/week; schedule flexible dependent upon intern needs and project requirements.
