HEALTH COMMISSIONER

CARROLL COUNTY GENERAL HEALTH DISTRICT

 

Location: Carrollton, Ohio

Position Status: Full or Part-time. Salary is based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications: Must possess and maintain licensure in the state of Ohio as a physician, dentist, veterinarian, podiatrist, or chiropractor; or possess a Master’s degree in public health or other equivalent Master’s degree in a health-related field; comprehensive knowledge of the public health field; advanced skills and abilities of planning, leadership and management practices; four years of health-related experience.

Licensure or Certification Requirements: Must maintain a valid State of Ohio driver’s license; must maintain insurability per Health District policy; completion of required and/or applicable Incident Command System (I.C.S.) courses.

Essential Functions of the Positon: Planning and organizing department programs, grant writing, fiscal management and supervising staff. Candidates with these public health skills will be given preference.

Skill in: Computer operation; use of modern office equipment; motor vehicle operation.
