Position: Epidemiologist
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
FT 40 hours/week

Marion Public Health is seeking a full time Epidemiologist/Health Data Analyst. Marion Public Health’s goal is to become the county’s Health Data Chief Strategist. The Epidemiologist will have a key role in providing health data translation for both infectious for our Marion County community partners.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Master’s Degree in Public Health with emphasis in Epidemiology or experience working in the field of Epidemiology
  2. Proficient in excel and data systems
  3. Must have an Ohio Driver’s License and automobile insurance
  4. Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment physical

Preferred Requirements:

  1. A Master’s Degree in Public Health with an emphasis in epidemiology or like field
  2. Proficient in data analysis, with experience using data systems
  3. Experience working in the field of epidemiology or disease prevention preferred
  4. Ability to work independently and with an interdisciplinary team
  5. Effective written and oral communication skills

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Infectious disease surveillance and reporting

  3. Social epidemiology around social determinants of health
  4. Health data translation
