Position: Director of Administration

Hours: Full-time, M - F 8 am - 4:30 pm
Starting Salary: Commensurate with qualifications
Executive level position reporting to the Health Commissioner with overall responsibility for the agency’s financial and administrative operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Public Health or related field
- Seven years of progressively responsible supervisory, administrative and financial experience in public or private sector business administration; Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products
- Current valid Ohio driver’s license & access to a motor vehicle
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Serves as a member of Public Health’s Executive Team
- Plans, organizes, directs, supervises, administers and evaluates the program content/activities of Public Health’s Office of Administration (which includes Accounting Services, Accreditation, Budget Management, Facilities/Purchasing, Information Technology Services, Receiving and Distribution, Quality Improvement, Workforce Development, Vital Records)
- Formulates and recommends objectives and policies for the development and management of the Office; Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws; Plans and administers agency’s fiscal programs; Oversees budgets and expenditure reports; Prepares annual reports
- Directs the implementation of approved objectives, policies/programs, and provides administrative leadership to members of the Office’s management team
- Prepares and presents various financial, Human Services Levy and other presentations for various audiences (i.e. Public Health Staff, Board of Health, Levy Community Review Teams, Community Stakeholders, etc.) in a clear and concise manner
- Actively supports agency initiatives and fosters an environment of diversity and inclusion and promotes employee engagement
- Serves a major role in the Human Services Levy and serves on various internal/external committees
May be required to play an active role in the event of a public health emergency, which may include changes in responsibilities and working hours.
