Public Health Nurse (CMH Programs)

Franklin County Public Health

Division of Prevention and Wellness

The Public Health Nurse will provide case management and related services for families with children enrolled in the Children with Medical Handicaps (CMH) Programs. The CMH has three programs to help children with special health care needs: Diagnostic Program, Treatment Program, and Service Coordination Program.  

Duties Include:

• Case management
• Health care service coordination
• Referrals to appropriate doctors, other services and support
• Home visitations
• Parent education
• Pediatric assessments
• Provide vaccinations to the public and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be a current Registered Nurse with the State of Ohio and current CPR certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College of Nursing preferred with at least 1 year experience with pediatrics.
• Case management experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable through FCPH’s provider; some evening and weekend hours required.  

Salary: $23.29/hourly starting. This is a non-exempt position.
