Marion Public Health is looking for a motivated, innovative Director of Nursing who wants to lead a great team into an exciting future. This pivotal role in the health department will spearhead efforts to address community needs over the next ten years, utilizing collective impact and results-based accountability frameworks. The director of nursing will also oversee communicable disease programs, emergency preparedness and response, and vital statistics. Marion Public Health offers professional development opportunities such as assistance with obtaining a Master’s in Public Health, memberships to professional organizations, and travel to national conferences. The ideal candidate will possess this inventive style, will contribute to creating a positive work culture, and will utilize a servant-leadership style to guide health department staff toward reaching our goals. Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s of Nursing licensure,
a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance. Five years’ supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of public health, infectious disease, and immunization administration a plus.
