Public Health Nurse 2, Communicable Disease Specialist

Primary Responsibilities:

Assists TB/Infectious Disease Coordinator in investigation and control of infectious diseases and related environmental public health problems. Maintain and input data into Ohio Disease Reporting System. Evaluates surveillance system, timelines and completeness of reports. Participates in Regional Epidemiology Response Teams. Provides routine client assessments, screening and care. Records accurate patient documentation into EHR program. Follows federal, state, and local laws including HIPAA regulations and grant requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess a current Registered Nurse license (RN) as issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing; and a current CPR certification. Minimum (2) years’ experience in epidemiology; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must also have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Salary:

Commensurate with applicable experience

Pay Grade 8 ($18.98 – $23.82 hourly) plus Full WCHD Benefits available
