NOW HIRING: Community Tobacco Outreach Coordinator (Partial Grant-funded)

The Community Tobacco Outreach Coordinator contributes to the advancement and/or improvement of the health of Central Ohioans through increased local tobacco prevention and education efforts, including outreach to youth and communities about vaping. This position will work with communities and stakeholders in increasing and improving tobacco prevention policies. This position will be the coordinator of the Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation grant through the Ohio Department of Health.

Duties Include:

• Serve as co-chair in local tobacco prevention related coalitions and/or to serve in other regional tobacco initiatives or groups including Ohio Evaluation Planning Team meetings
• Assists in identifying local health resources that could assist in tobacco prevention
• Complete and track grant deliverables.
• Create and maintain relationships with local stakeholders to promote tobacco free policies
• Present model policies to stakeholders
• Writes, edits and collects all documentation to assure full compliance with the grant deliverable outcomes
• Researches and identifies additional funding sources
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, health, public administration, healthcare, substance abuse, mental health, or related field – Master’s degree preferred.
• Two to three (2-3) years of directly related experience.
• Experience in grant writing preferred.
• Facilitation and public speaking experience
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable through FCPH’s provider; some evening and weekend hours required.  
• Non-smoker.

Hiring Salary: 19.24/hour - $24.06/hour. This is a non-exempt position.
