NOW HIRING: Human Resources Generalist (Grant-funded position)
Duties Include:
- The Human Resource Generalist performs duties related to grant-funded and other employees including interoffice relations, orientation, workforce development, deferred compensation and other related tasks as assigned. This position maintains all employee forms, grant-funded and special contract position documents.
- Develops and maintains grant-funded information, statistics, service time and compensation. Creates reports based on grant requirements and office needs. Helps staff with day-to-day requests and maintains documents with up to date information and policy changes.
- This position will be responsible for the organization and implementation of related job descriptions; the coordination of employee benefits through available government programs; communication of benefit and wellness programs; grants management; coordination of employee programs.
- Aid in determining where training is needed, and helping research and propose new training opportunities to fill gaps. Helps survey staff to assess effectiveness in areas of onboarding, training, etc. Analyzes data from onboarding, exit interviews and other staff surveys to makes recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- This position will be responsible for using quality improvement (QI) processes and/or techniques to improve the proficiency and efficiency of the assigned areas. Utilizes appropriate methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of all ages and from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, lifestyles and physical abilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience required;
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience; government human resources experience a plus;
- Technical proficiency needed with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and databases;
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail, customer service skills with the ability to learn new information quickly and maintain confidentiality;
- Non-smoker.
Hiring Wage Range: $23.28/hour - $29.11/hour. This is a non-exempt position.
