Position: Chemical Dependency Prevention/Training Specialist I/II

Hours: Full Time M-F 8 am – 4:30 pm
Starting Salary: C34 $17.24/hour- $35,859.20/Annual
                          C42 $21.04/hour- $43,763.20/Annual
*** (salary commensurate with experience)

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science or related field and 1 year of experience in prevention, education and/or training activities or an Associate Degree in behavioral science or related field and 3 years of experience in prevention, education and /or training activities;
Must register as a Registered Applicant with the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board within 30 days of employment
Must attain the Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist I or Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant II Credentials within 3 years of date of employment.
Current valid Ohio driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist
Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Develop and Implement alcoholism and drug abuse programs for identified populations
Develop educational materials for use in programs and assist in the collection of data in order to evaluate prevention efforts.
Possess a thorough knowledge of the methods and techniques of designing and delivering educational and prevention programs and services are essential.
May be required to play an active role in the event of a public health emergency, which may include changes in responsibilities and working hours.
