Fiscal Officer

Perry County Health Department

Description: The Perry County Health Department is accepting applications for a full-time Fiscal Officer.

Essential Functions: The position is responsible for managing health department financial operations and ensuring compliance; maintaining financial records; developing and submitting financial reports and other financial documentation; managing human resource functions; and assisting the Health Commissioner in other projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: A two-year degree in a financial field or equivalent experience; knowledge of accounting, auditing, business administration, or financial management of organizations; ability to develop meaningful and concise financial reports; ability to perform budgetary analysis and report findings and recommendations; proficient in the use of a computer, especially Microsoft Excel. Ohio driver’s license with ongoing proof of auto insurance also required.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business administration or equivalent field; knowledge of governmental accounting principles and fiscal audit management; and experience in quality improvement and performance management.

Salary: Salary for this position will be based on qualifications and experience.
