Environmental Public Health Sanitarian

Williams County Health Department

Seeking qualified candidates for the position of Full Time Environmental Public Health Registered Sanitarian or Sanitarian-In-Training.

Responsibilities will primarily be inspections and consultations in food safety, public swimming pools, nuisances and schools and may also include the following programs: private water, campgrounds, body art, Smoke Free Workplace, and manufactured home parks.

The Director of Ohio Department of Health is charged with the registration of sanitarians and sanitarians in training as mandated by Chapter 4736 of the Ohio Revised Code and Section 4736 of the Ohio Administrative Code.

To apply for registration as a registered sanitarian or sanitarian in training in the state of Ohio, submit your application via the licensure portal.  Please be aware that the licensure portal is not compatible with Explorer.  We recommend the use of Chrome or Firefox to avoid issues when submitting your application.

All candidates must have a current, valid Ohio driver’s license, auto insurance, and have access to a dependable motor vehicle.

Starting salary is dependent on qualifications. The Williams County Health Department offers a competitive salary and an exceptional benefit package including medical, vision, and dental insurance.
