New online tools support community health improvement from OHT

Every local public health district and tax-exempt hospital is required to develop a community health improvement plan. Recent reforms make it easier for these groups to work together, for example by moving everyone to the same three-year planning schedule and encouraging at least county-level planning. In addition, the Ohio Department of Health recently released several new online tools that make it easier for anyone to identify local health priorities, make sure those priorities are addressed in local hospital and health district improvement plans, and see how hospitals compare in the type and amount of community benefit they provide.
